Introduction Cerescom Ltd is committed to ensuring that modern slavery and human trafficking are not taking place within our business or our supply chains. This statement sets out the steps we have taken to prevent such activities in compliance with the UK Modern Slavery Act 2015. Our Business Cerescom Ltd is a consulting and advisory firm. We operate in the UK and provide services to clients including the NHS and UKHSA. Our Policies on Slavery and Human Trafficking We are dedicated to operating responsibly and establishing and adhering to the highest standards of ethical behavior. Our policies reflect our commitment to act ethically and with integrity in all our business relationships. These include: Code of Conduct: Outlining our expectations for ethical behavior for all employees and partners. Supplier Code of Conduct: Setting clear expectations for our suppliers in terms of labor practices and human rights. Whistleblowing Policy: Providing a secure and confidential way for employees and other stakeholders to report any concerns related to unethical behavior, including modern slavery and human trafficking. Due Diligence Processes To identify and mitigate the risk of modern slavery in our business and supply chains, we have implemented the following due diligence processes: Risk Assessment: We conduct risk assessments to identify areas where there is a higher risk of modern slavery and human trafficking within our supply chains. Supplier Audits: We audit our suppliers to ensure compliance with our standards and to identify any potential issues related to modern slavery. Training: We provide training to our employees to help them recognize the signs of modern slavery and understand the steps to take if they suspect such practices. Supply Chain Management We expect our suppliers to adhere to the same high standards as we do. Our supply chain management includes: Supplier Screening: Before onboarding new suppliers, we conduct thorough screenings to ensure they meet our ethical standards. Ongoing Monitoring: We continuously monitor our suppliers for compliance with our policies on modern slavery and human trafficking. Contracts: Our supplier contracts include clauses that require compliance with the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and allow us to audit their practices. Performance Indicators To measure our effectiveness in combating modern slavery, we use the following key performance indicators (KPIs): - Number of supplier audits conducted annually. - Percentage of suppliers that have signed our Supplier Code of Conduct. - Number of reports received through our whistleblowing channels related to modern slavery. - Number of employees trained on modern slavery awareness. Training and Awareness We provide training for our employees to ensure they understand the risks of modern slavery and human trafficking and know how to report any concerns. This training includes: Induction Training: All new employees receive training on our policies and procedures related to modern slavery. Annual Refresher Courses: Regular training sessions to keep employees updated on any changes to our policies and to reinforce the importance of vigilance against modern slavery.
